Digital program diversity simply via antenna.

DAB+ stands for “Digital Audio Broadcasting.” This means audio signals are transmitted digitally via antenna. Compared to the regionally limited FM program offering, DAB+ alone provides 28, by now almost nationwide, radio stations receivable in the best digital quality. The aim is to make DAB+ widely available throughout Germany and continuously expand it further. In addition, more and more nationally and regionally broadcast stations are being added, continuously expanding the bouquet of radio services. Across Europe, more and more countries are also adopting DAB+.

Nationwide stations receivable via
DAB+ Digital Radio

DAB+ programs are bundled in so-called multiplexes (Mux). These are program bouquets that combine up to (typically) 16 services on a single frequency, making them more power- and resource-efficient compared to FM broadcasting.

Deutschlandfunk
Deutschlandfunk, based in Cologne, is a modern, service-oriented information program with around 80 percent spoken content. A strong focus lies on news and information.
RADIO BOB!
A rock-oriented music program, with core artists being the great rock bands of the 1970s and 80s. Current news and event information, interactive features both on-air and off-air.
