How does Spotify Connect work?

Wi-Fi Connection
Connect your smartphone to the same Wi-Fi network as your radio or speaker.

Launch Spotify
Open the Spotify app on your smartphone and start music playback as usual.

Connect the Radio
Tap the "Available Devices" icon in the lower left corner to select your desired playback device.

Enjoy the Music
Your selected device is now connected, and you can enjoy your favorite music directly through your radio.

Put Your Phone Aside
Spotify Connect allows you to navigate your music library directly on the playback device. The music is now streamed directly from the Spotify servers to your device, so the connection through the app is no longer needed. Now you can simply put your phone aside—and enjoy the music!
Short & clear: Frequently Asked Questions about Spotify Connect
If you see an unknown device in your device list, you can simply remove it from the list. This also prevents automatic connections: Click the three dots next to the device name and select 'Forget device'.
If you have multiple unknown devices in your list or suspect unauthorized use, you can log out of all devices in your Spotify account. To be completely sure no unauthorized use is happening, we recommend resetting your password and setting a new one.
Whether you have a Spotify Premium account or the free Spotify Free version, our digital radios and speakers support the Spotify Connect function in both paid and free Spotify versions. Simply select the radio in the device list and enjoy the sound.
