With the TECHNIROUTER 9/4x16, you can build a single-cable converter distribution system and supply up to 64 subscribers with the complete television programs from up to 4 satellites (e.g., Astra 19.2°E, Eutelsat 13°E, Astra 23.5°E, and Astra 28.2°E) as well as the terrestrial signal via a single cable. Existing cable infrastructure in residential buildings can be used without laying new cables. If more than 64 subscriber connections are required, additional TECHNIROUTER 9/4x16 units can be cascaded at the trunk line outputs. The system utilizes digital satellite channel router (SCR) technology according to EN50494/EN50607. This allows for the distribution of receivers without any program restrictions. Without the need to lay new antenna cables, multituner devices (PVRs) can also be fully operated with this system. Atmospheric attenuation losses, which lead to fluctuations in the received satellite signal level, are compensated for by the TECHNIROUTER 9/4x16's built-in AGC (Automatic Gain Control).
