Das LNB eignet sich für alle Antennenschüsseln mit 40-mm-Feedaufnahme und dient der Umsetzung von TV-, Radio- und Multimediaangeboten, die über Satellit ausgestrahlt werden.
Das LNB verfügt über zwei Ausgänge, von denen jeder direkt mit einem Empfangsgerät (Sat-Receiver oder Smart-TV) verbunden werden kann. Alle Empfangsgeräte sind in der Wahl ihrer Programme unabhängig, da an jedem der zwei LNB-Ausgänge die Signale des gesamten Empfangsbereichs anliegen. An dem Universal-Twin-LNB kann ohne weiteres auch ein Twin-Receiver anstelle von zwei Einzelgeräten angeschlossen werden.
Durch seine Bauart ist das Universal-Twin-LNB gegen Störungen durch LTE-Mobilfunk geschützt .
