The digital single-cable solution without program restrictions!
The TECHNIROUTER is the digital single-cable solution without new cabling! For the first time, there is a single-cable solution without program restrictions. This has never existed before! Existing cabling in residential buildings can be upgraded with digital satellite signals from a single satellite position without laying new cables.
What needs to be considered?
Existing wall outlets, splitters, and amplifiers must be replaced with satellite-compatible components. It is important to note that all components must have a DC bypass, and the through-wall outlets, in particular, must have two DC bypasses. The DC pass-through is required for the transmission of the DiSEqC signal. The 13/18 V from the receiver is not used for switching commands, but rather to transmit the DiSEqC commands to the TechniRouter. Of course, the existing coaxial cables must also be checked for their suitability for satellite reception.
How does the control work?
TechniRouter-compatible receivers control the TechniRouter base unit and cascade digitally via DiSEqC Level 1.0 using the EN 50494 protocol. This protocol is used to select and execute the transponder frequencies/programs in the TechniRouters. The TechniRouter generates eight output frequencies in the IF frequency range of 950-2150 MHz, allowing individual users to receive all digital programs without restriction. Both low and high bands can be received.
How many users can be served?
Up to eight users can be served per TechniRouter. If eight connections are insufficient, additional cascades can be connected to the base unit. If even more subscriber connections are needed, or a combination with a multiswitch (star wiring) is desired, this can be achieved using multiswitches from the 5 or 9 series, as well as their accessories such as amplifiers, splitters, or taps. Which LNB is required and how is it powered? Standard Quattro LNBs can be used. The TechniRouter base unit supplies the operating voltage for the Quattro LNB and also for any upstream cascade. Return channel capability included! Thanks to its return channel capability, the TECHNIROUTER is designed for the transmission of DOCSIS signals and is therefore ideally suited for the simultaneous use of the internet and... Telephone services offered by cable network operators in the satellite home distribution system. Even when the advantages of satellite reception via an SCR single-cable system are used for television reception, this allows the simultaneous use of the already installed coaxial cables for internet access and telephone via broadband cable, without having to install additional feed-in frequency dividers. For this purpose, the terrestrial input of the TECHNIROUTER is typically connected to the main distribution point (HÜP).
